Education Service Center, Region 20 offers a variety of technical training opportunities. The Cisco Networking Academy, Technical Support Specialist Certification , online technical training, certification testing through Region 20's VUE Testing Center, and staff development catalog offerings all include training on a variety of technical topics for teachers and district technology support staff.
Technical Tuesday's a great way to stay on top of the latest technology and get the most out of the services that Region 20 offers.

Online Technical Training is now available in cooperation with LearnKey. You have the opportunity to purchase bundles of online course offerings for your schools at deep discounts.

Cisco ® Networking Academy

Cisco Networking Academy – ESC 20 is a Regional Cisco Networking Academy. Using web-based instruction, students learn the conceptual and technical skills to design, install, operate, and maintain state-of-the-art computer networks. In a lab setting that closely corresponds to the real world, students get their hands on the building blocks of today's global information networks, learning by doing as they design and bring to life local and wide-area networks. The role of a Regional Academy is to train teachers who are instructors for Local Academies at area high schools and colleges. The training for instructors is accelerated, while students learn the material over four semesters.

Technical Support Specialist Certification

Region 20 now offers three strands of certification for technology staff and campus technology specialists. Campus, District, and Advanced Technical Support Specialist strands are each based on the skills needed to support the different levels of technology in a school district. Courses are available for individual purchase or an entire strand can be bought at one time for even more savings. You can register for these courses through the Region 20 Staff Development Catalog.

Pearson VUE Testing Center

Region 20 now has a Pearson VUE Testing Center available . The testing center was put in place to accomodate the local Cisco Academies but anyone can register and use this new location. Large groups can be accomodated and purchase orders can be used for payment.
