4. When was the site last updated?
a. Is there a specific last updated date
or copyright date?
b. Is it recent enough for the information
to be relevant?
5. Why was the web site created?
a. Is the site set up to educate/inform?
b. Is there a particular bias to the web site?
c. Are they trying to sell you something?
Not only will answering these questions help you
evaluate websites but will also help you to build the Works Cited page for your
project.
Google’s Advanced Search is a great way to limit your search by domain, date range, or other criteria and
filter out lots of irrelevant hits.
