Pick my own topic? Where can I find good ideas?
Academic databases have some cool features that can help. Ask your teacher or librarian
which databases you have at your school and how to access them. Just make sure the
topic you choose is something that interests you. Also, choose a topic that has enough
depth that you can find good resources. If you’re having trouble finding enough information
on your topic, ask for help or see if you can change topics.

Getting Started
So, how do you get started with your research? Most often your teacher gives you an
assignment and you just follow directions. Sometimes your teacher allows you to pick
your own topic.
